Border Collie Regains Mobility

A paralysed dog has regained its mobility thanks to vets from the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Following a suspected deer kick to the head, Leah, a four-year-old border collie, was left paralysed for three weeks whiles vets tried to identify the problem.

Neurosurgeons discovered her spine was compromised by a dislocated of the skull from the spine and fractures to the first vertebra and back of the skull. After successful surgery and weeks of physical therapy, Leah was able to walk again.
