BVNA announces upcoming president

The BVNA has announced Wendy Nevins as junior vice-president with immediate effect.

Mrs Nevin began her career as a trainee VN in a Surrey small animal practice in 1991 and, in qualifying, moved to Yorkshire to work in a large mixed practice. She left the practice as head nurse to have her first son and relocate to Germany.

Then, following a move to Devon and  having her second son, she started work at a two-branch small animal practice as nurse, VN assessor and then practice manager.

Mrs Nevins moved to north-west England in 2002 and worked as a nurse in a small animal practice, before coming the Veterinary Nursing Approved Centre coordinator at Myerscough College. after four years, she returned to practice as a part-time VN.

In 2007, Mrs Nevins joined The Park Veterinary Group in Leicester – initially as nurse manager, then as practice manager. During this time. The Webinar Vet was born. Once this was established, the practice was sold and she remained there as head of internet operations. She now works as a consultant and locum VN, and will become BVNA president at BVNA Congress 2017.
