CPD Solutions Launch New Online Mini Series for Vet Nurses with Free Introductory Webinar

It’s always useful to build in depth knowledge about a topic and now CPD Solutions has come up with the perfect way for nurses to do just that. A new Online Mini Series course will help veterinary nurses maximise their nursing know-how without even having to leave the practice AND to explore one area in more detail.

Each Mini Series gives nurses the ability to put their new skills and knowledge into action after the first live online session and after seeing the practical benefits, advance their understanding by watching the next session in the series. This method of learning has already worked well for vets, with the CPD Solutions Online Mini Series for vets proving to be a real success.

To kick-start the first Mini Series, CPD Solutions is offering a free introductory webinar to complement the first full course on Practical Wound Management for Nurses – a topic that’s immediately relevant to every nurse.

The phrase ‘in one ear and out the other’ applies to us all from time to time and it’s not uncommon to forget recently learned material if the topic is not revisited. CPD Solutions’ Online Mini Series will help information stick by allowing nurses to work at their own pace, in their own time and in the comfort of their own surroundings, with the option to revisit the topic limitless times within the year, since each session has ‘view again’ capability.

Incorporation of videos into the sessions enhances teaching and appeals to the increasing bias for multimedia presentations, while also catering for a variety of learning styles. Each course consists of three live online sessions, a set of notes and a self-assessment quiz, providing a whopping 8 hours of CPD. Nurses can pick and choose courses from the range of exciting key topics on offer, with CPD Solutions providing some of the most vibrant areas of development in medical and surgical nursing today.

Dr Susie Coughlan, Managing Director of CPD Solutions, says Mini Series’ offer something quite unique, “I’m sure many nurses have sat through a whole day of CPD and while they have enjoyed the networking opportunities, also wished that they could have received that information in bite sized chunks. As winter sets in online learning gets more popular, for obvious reasons. But what nurses will really love is the ability to learn a little, practise a lot and then learn a little more. We know there is a huge demand from nurses wanting to know more about treating wounds, so the first series really meets a need and represents a really wise investment for practice owners.”

The first full course, Practical Wound Management for Nurses, commences on the 4th of November when colder darker nights make going out to a seminar an unattractive option. And of course, there’s the fantastic option of dipping a toe into the CPD water by watching the first introductory webinar on the topic for FREE on October 15th.
