CVS acquires YourVets

Simon Innes CVS (UK) Ltd has announced the acquisition of YourVets, a provider of small animal veterinary services in the West Midlands and Essex, employing 45 vets and more than 200 staff. YourVets operates five large veterinary clinics in Coventry, Nuneaton, Wythall, Stechford and Solihull in the West Midlands and two in Essex in Rayleigh and Dagenham. The clinics at Coventry and Rayleigh provide out-of-hours and referral services.YourVets was founded in July 1997 in Coventry and aims to provide a high quality but value-for-money service.  It has developed what it calls a ‘super-clinic’ model, offering a full range of affordable veterinary services across its branches and two 24-hour centres at Coventry and Rayleigh.

Commenting on the acquisition, CVS CEO Simon Innes said:  “YourVets is a strong, successful and highly respected brand and we are delighted that it is joining CVS.  It is a good fit for us because it significantly increases our  presence in the Midlands where it complements the recent acquisition Townsend Vets.  It also supports our aim to grow our operations in Essex.”  YourVets CEO Janet Martin added:  “This is a positive step in the development of YourVets and we look forward to the opportunities it presents.”
