VetShare, a buying group providing a range of services to independent vets across the UK, is relaunching the development programme it offers to members with a CPD day combining both management and clinical topics on Wednesday 22 June 2016 in London. Dr Brian Faulkner, veterinary clinician and consultant, will host the keynote session, explaining how practices can stem ‘haemorrhages’ in turnover and maximise client yield. From a clinical perspective Dr Matteo Cantatore DVM PhD DipECVS MRCVS will give an update on brachycephalic airway syndrome.
Dr Faulkner is currently SPVS Vice President, an Honorary Lecturer in Veterinary Entrepreneurship at Nottingham University and Vice Chair of Business and Professional Studies at the European School of Veterinary Post Graduate Studies.
He speaks regularly at veterinary congresses on how the science, art and business of veterinary practice can be blended in order to optimise the outcome for the pet, the owner and the practice.
Dr Matteo Cantatore is a European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists in Alton, Hampshire.
Commenting, Anita Bates, Buying Group Business Manager at VetShare, said: “We regard providing high quality but affordable CPD as a key element of our offer to members and are delighted to announce that our London event will be headlined by Dr Brian Faulkner, one of the most sought-after speakers on the management CPD circuit. We are keen to encourage our members to attend and are offering tickets at a very attractive rate. We plan to re-run the event with Dr Faulkner and Dr Cantatore in other locations following London and are currently developing a full CPD programme.”
