Homeless Pet Care

Vet students are offering free treatment for pets belonging to homeless people in Edinburgh.

People without a permanent home will receive basic treatments for their pets, thanks to a clinic run by students from the University of Edinburgh Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies.

The student will work under the guidance of qualified vets to run the All4Paws clinic, which will offer free vaccines and flea tick and worm medications. Owners will also be encouraged to sign up for the Dogs Trust Hope Project veterinary scheme, which provides microchips, plus free spaying and neutering.

The initiative has been made possible thanks to fund-raising and donations including supplies from Dechra and Virbac.
