|Dan Jeffries has joined veterinary CPD company Improve International as Head of Online Learning. In this newly created role he will lead the development of the company’s expertise in the provision of online learning to give Improve delegates the most effective learning experience possible. He reports to John Douglass, Assistant Managing Director.
Improve International provides high quality CPD in a range of formats for veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, receptionists and practice managers to help them develop their skills and knowledge, using a combination of review lectures, case-based discussion and where, applicable, hands-on practical sessions. It is increasingly offering courses using ‘blended learning’, a format which draws on both face to face and online learning.
Dan has a background in both Further and Higher Education. He is experienced in developing online learning resources across a range of platforms. This includes developing new and innovative curricula and designing qualifications, as well as being a lead Internal Verifier and Quality Manager.
Commenting on his appointment he said: “I’ll be responsible for reviewing the current online offering and recommending how it can enhanced, as well as driving through new initiatives. There’s some great technology out there – the trick is knowing how to use it effectively to create a dynamic and engaging online learning experience.”

Improve International was founded in 1998 by veterinary surgeons from across the UK, including a number of recognised experts. Acquired by Benchmark Holdings Plc in February 2015 and based in Swindon, it provides high quality CPD in a range of formats for veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, receptionists and practice managers to help them to develop their skills and knowledge, using a combination of review lectures, case-based discussion and where, applicable, hands-on practical sessions.
