Vets and VNs are being asked to nominate colleagues for the UK’s Veterinary Nurse of the Year 2017 award.
Blue Cross’ award is designed to recognise the dedication of VNs and their support to veterinary teams, pets and owners.
It recognises VNs who not only care for sick and injured pets, but also those who encourage responsible pet ownership and improve pet welfare in their community. The award will be presented at BVNA Congress, which takes place in October. Last year’s awards was presented to Samantha Shand of Quarrington Veterinary is Sleaford, Lincolnshire, for her contribution deemed to be “above and beyond her role, both for her commitments to charitable work and education”.
The deadline for nominations is 8 September. To make a nomination, visit www.bluecross.org.uk/bvna2017
