NVS Karting Championship 2011 With the help of 3T racing, the championship was organised alongside the world’s largest go-karting competition, The British Schools Karting Championship. Practising Vets from all over the country competed in teams of 4 to be part of the final, while also enjoying a unique chance to network and socialise and showing off their competitive spirit! The winners were then invited to a Champagne reception hosted by NVS in Birmingham on Friday 1st April. NVS Sales and marketing Director Caitrina Harrison said “Given some of the pressures the veterinary industry is facing, NVS has set up this unusual event to enable veterinary professionals to let their hair down and have some fun, while showing they have the edge needed to suceed in today’s competitive market”. The overall winning team were the Loughborough Elks, a team made up of Craig Jonhston of Bray House Vets in Melton Mowbray and Richard Sanders, Richard Hird and Bill Skinner of Lawrence Veterinary Centre Ltd in Nottingham, who each received £150. Runners-up were the Birmingham Wildcats team, which comprised of Bryn Morgan,Will Marlow and Rameena Moschella from Townsend Vets in Bromsgrove and Craig McCreath of Straiton & Partners in Penkridge. Third runners-up were the Manchester Bears, who were Gareth Jones, Dennis Owen, Phil Turnbull, & Karl Gerrard all from Simon Constable Veterinary Practice in Manchester.
