In January, Royal Canin announced its co-sponsorship alongside Zoetis of the 2015 regional CPD programme of business and non-clinical training events organised by the VPMA and SPVS. Following a successful start to the year, May will see two further courses hosted in Surrey and Milton Keynes, entitled ‘Marketing Masterclass’ and ‘Improving Your Bottom Line’.
The first session, ‘Marketing Masterclass’, will take place in Surrey on Wednesday 6th May 2015. Led by guest speaker Nick Steele, national consulting manager from Zoetis, the event is designed to help anyone within your practice with marketing responsibility to understand the complete cycle – from auditing your business to implementing a strategy. This course will introduce marketing basics and help you create your own bespoke marketing plan.
The second session, entitled ‘Improving Your Bottom Line’, will take place on Wednesday 20th May in Milton Keynes, with contributions from Mark Beaney from Hazlewoods and Andrew Curwen from XL Vets. This course will enable practice owners, partners and managers to compare turnover per vet and spend per client alongside national trends and take away simple, practical ways to reduce costs and increase profit. Mark Beaney from Veterinary Accountants, Hazlewoods will draw on figures from some of the country’s leading practices to help you benchmark your performance, whilst Andrew Curwen, who has worked in both practice and industry, will help you identify the practical and people blocks to turning theory into practice.
Places on any of the planned events this year can be booked by calling 01453 872731 or by visiting www.spvs-vpma-events.co.uk. Workshops cost £265 for non-members and £190 plus VAT for VPMA and SPVS members (group/bulk booking discounts are also available). Cost includes CPD certificates, lunch and refreshments.
