|ROYAL CANIN® Weight Management Specialist, Louise Brennan will be presenting at VPMA SPVS’ first congress of 2018. Focusing on how nurses can play a key role in delivering enhanced services that benefit not only pets and their owners but make sound business sense for all stakeholders, the presentation will be held on the 26th January at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales.
Louise Brennan started out in financial services, insurance and business development before training as a Veterinary Nurse, shortly followed by working in practice before moving to ROYAL CANIN’s dedicated Weight Management Team. With rich prior knowledge and experience of the subject which will be presented, Louise will discuss, in conversation with Sarah Adamson, Marketing Manager of the Garston Vet Group, Antony Ashford, Clinical Nurse from Colne Valley Vets and Stephanie Writer-Davies Vet Director at Mimran Vets, how these practices have transformed the role nurses play in their business.
Commenting on the upcoming session, Louise Brennan said: “It is imperative to ensure every single person in a practices’ clinical team feels valued and that they have a purpose in the greater scheme of things. With increasing pressure on Vets and Vet Nurses in practice we are seeing people move to focus on what they really enjoy in veterinary, this can be supported through repositioning nurses in the consult room, creating greater job satisfaction and charging for their invaluable clinical and advisory services”
