Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy (TPLO)

For surgeons familiar with orthopaedic surgery using plates and screws, NVS and Everost are pleased to offer a practical course on the Tibial Plateau Levelling Osteotomy. The course will introduce delegates to the principles of case selection, planning and performing TPLO and allows participants to experience the procedure on plastic bone models and cadavers. The course is presented by Martin Owen, a leading and experienced specialist in small animal orthopaedics.

Martin is an ECVS Diplomate and was introduced to tibial osteotomy for cranial cruciate ligament insufficiency in 1995. After 10years of skepticism of the merit of osteotomy techniques for cruciate disease consistent with the prevailing level of understanding of the techniques and their variable results,he started performing TPLO surgery in 2007,following the introduction of locking screw technology.
