Understanding the basic legal requirements for Health and Safety (H&S) in the workplace is essential for every Veterinary Manager. With this in mind, ROYAL CANIN is offering three free places on its sponsored ‘Working Safely and Legally’ CPD workshop. The course, which takes place at the Hilton Hotel, Coventry on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd November, is worth £477 and is part of the company’s continued support of the 2016 regional CPD events organised by VPMA and SPVS, in partnership with Zoetis.
The two-day workshop will deliver the recognised IOSH Working Safely course, which has been specifically adapted for veterinary professionals. Attendees will understand how to identify risks and hazards as well as improve safety performance and environmental protection. Day two will cover managing workplace stress, the Veterinary Medicines Regulations with an update on PSS and the correlation between core standards and H&S in practice.
Delegates will leave with an IOSH Working Safely certificate, a fire extinguisher training certification, the ability to write a risk assessment and a thorough knowledge in veterinary practice health and safety requirements.
For the chance to win a free place at this event, simply send an email with your name, the name of your veterinary practice and the reason why you would like to attend to firstname.lastname@example.org by 21st October 2016. ROYAL CANIN will select three lucky applicants at random and will inform the winners via email the following week.
Places on the course can also be booked by calling 01453 872731 or by visiting www.spvs-vpma-events.co.uk. Workshops cost £477 plus VAT for non-members and £342 plus VAT for VPMA and SPVS members (group/ bulk booking discounts are also available).
